To make hay while the sun shines
(lit.. Collect hay while the sun shines) — strike while the iron is hot. To do something when the situation and conditions are the right ones to do so, without delay.
I have some days-off. So I suggest we make hay while the sun shines and go camping. — I have a few days off. So, I suggest we strike while the iron is hot, and go hiking.
