Il verbo GET - Quarta puntata

TO GET COME PHRASAL VERB....

→ Get up (alzarsi)
I usually get up at 8:30, have a light breakfast, and then go for a run.
→ Get over (guarire da, superare, andare oltre)
I hope you get over the flu soon, we miss you at the office!
OR
You and your boyfriend broke up a year ago, get over it already!
→ Get on (salire/ imbarcare)
We got on the train at 11:00am but we didn’t arrive until 11:00pm.
→ Get off (scendere)
To get to my house, get off at the third train stop on the red line.
→ Get into (parlare di, essere preso/ accettato)
I’m honestly really tired and I don’t want to get into it right now, we can talk about it tomorrow.
OR
I didn’t get into my favourite university, but I was accepted to my second choice, so I will go there.
→ Get out of doing something (evitare)
My roommate always gets out of washing the dishes by saying she has a lot of studying to do.
→ Get along/on well with (andare d’accordo con qualcuno)
When I was younger I didn’t get along with my sister very well, but now we are best friends.
→ Get away with (cavarsela)
I still get away with buying student priced tickets because I look so young.
→ Get through (finire qualcosa)
Once we get through this section, we can go home and pick it up (P.V., riprendere) again tomorrow.
